Stair lights

So I am thinking of adding some blue LED lights on my stairs to go with my blue wine nook and blue refrigerator lights I see a place holder on the control panel for stair lights. It would be great to wire them into the existing switch. Has any one added aftermarket lights? Any pointers?

You can get the led light strips at AutoZone and if your switch is already there then the wiring is most likely there as well. The LED strips already have 3M tape on them. Easy install.

Thanks. I didn't see any wiring going to the stairs themselves. Looks like I'd have to fish wire from the switch down to the stairs. I'm just wondering how difficult this would be.

Easy there 12 volt and about $10 or so from auto parts stores in what ever color you want and different lengths. My inside stairs already had them but my outside steps just had those yellow square lights so I used that wiring and used 12" blue LEDs. Looks better outside step lights and lit up better.

I keeping hearing about blue refrigerator lights. Is there an advantage? Should I run right out and get some?

We switched our normal bulb in our refrigerator to an LED last year in our 2015 Roo 23SS and I bought a white and a green led light for the fridge, used green all last summer and I'm using the white right now. I did think about blue, but only bought the two. There is no advantage to the color just something different, but the led bulb is cooler than the incandescent bulb that came with the fridge. And when I wired in a switch for the condensation heater on the fridge, the wire was near the bulb so now no worries of it melting the wire.

I added an LED lamp to our steps on a previous camper. The lamp was designed as a tag lamp for a boat trailer. It was totally sealed and offered great illumination using only milliamperes of power.

4 out of 5 dentists who were given a choice of which refrigerator to open chose the one with blue lights.

Blue light also makes the mountains on my can bluer, therefore it clearly cools my beer more quickly.

You can't fight science, blue refrigerator lights are clearly better.
