Still trying to keep mice out.
Maybe this will get them?! Saw this on youtube. The mice go up the ramp to get the peanut butter on the bottle, climb onto the bottle, then it spins dumping them into the bucket. I'm hoping this works.

Yeah, I've seen this set up before. some use an empty thread spool rather than a water bottle.......don't know if it works - probably.
Someone told me that they put whole cloves at various openings to keep mice out of their cottage (they had mice prior to that) and it worked.
I store my trailer outside and I've been using cloves for 4 years and not had a mouse issue. I put a spoonful on a paper plate and put it near some of the openings on the inside and then spread handfuls around the trailer on the ground.
Is it the cloves keeping the mice away - who knows. All I know is that I don't have mice issues.

I put cloves in the camper the day you posted this. I have not had anymore mice since then! I think they do work.

Kill one mouse, tie a string around its hind legs and hang it outside the door as a warning to others.

We had problems with mice and I read somewhere to use Irish Spring soap. Worked great and so far a cheap solution. Go buy 6-8 bars cut the soap into 1/2” x 1/2” sections and put hem everywhere, aisle ways, seats, cupboards, storage, corners, etc. we only use this to keep the mice away during the winter months but have had no problems. As a bonus, RV smells great when you get it ready in the spring. Happy Camping!

I have always found dryer sheets work for me. They also make the RV smell good.

The mice are driving me nuts! First winter unit was at dealer getting lots of work done so no mice.
Second winter it was in my yard and we opened it up in the spring to mouse droppings everywhere.
Third winter also in my yard with 4 moth ball bags hung underneath...each side by the tires and by each 5er front landing jack. Also put about 50 dryer sheets inside and put spray foam in any hole I could find underneath. No mice!
Fourth winter was spent at a body shop for minor repairs - parked mostly in their parking lot with only 1 week in the shop total- so we just went with dryer sheets. Brought it home to find droppings worse than year 2. Checked underneath and all the spray foam is still good to go.
So I guess the moth balls did the trick? Who knows. I guess all we can do is see what happens next year. I may try to add the cloves and soap... can't hurt. Maybe some mice hate different things so a combination of deterrents will be more complete?

Didn't work. Went in there the other day (I also had mouse traps set up) they ate the cheese off the trap without setting it off, mouse turds all over the place again.

There really isn't a 'sure fire' way to keep them out.
Over the past 40 years of camping we had years where we had mice everywhere and other years, none.
We've tried EVERYTHING.
I've faithfully sealed every hole I could find.
The mice ate Irish Spring soap.
They ate the Fresh Cab pouches and made nests out of them.
Cloves and Bounce Sheets didn't work.
I thought Peppermint oil was helping but found droppings with that too.
Ultrasonic pest deterrents didn't work.
Moth balls didn't help.
Our best defense in recent years is quality Victor snap traps (with peanut butter) and check them often. That gets rid of them until the next batch claims real estate.

found this product at HD. had a mouse problem in the past, but since i sealed all the points of entry with rodent proof foam,we eliminated the problem. i'm going to apply this to areas under the camper as "insurance".

Had mouse problems when we first got our new camper, searched everywhere I could to seal openings but it wasn't until I bought an inspection camera that I found where they were coming in at.

I will try to explain my problem as well as I can. We've had mice in our trailer every winter. Used moth balls, Bounce dryer sheets over every inch of the floor even pulling out drawers and putting the sheets in the drawers and under them, cab fresh, Irish Spring, filled every opening under the trailer I can find with steel wool, and 100% pure peppermint oil, not the extract. The best we have been able to keep the mice out of the inside is when I started spraying fox urine around the tires, on the support blocks under the stabilizers and tongue jack.
While doing all this last fall and looking for openings I missed under the trailer I found what is in the picture below. The frame with the channel is behind the tires and below the slide-outs on both sides of the TT, it goes forward into the area covered by coroplast. I actually had watched a mouse run to the tire and I got down under there just in time to see it jump to the channel and disappear. I filled every place with steel wool and foam using inspection scope to make sure I got them all.
We'll see if this solves the problem when the snow melts this spring. I don't know why I thought that FR would have sealed the other end of that channel. I didn't take an after pic.

We had a mouse problem in our second home so we put out mouse traps and small Irish Spring cubes.
We still had mice in the traps but they all were very clean and smelled good too!

We’ve always used shredded Irish Spring in small Dixie cups in all cabinets. And Mouse food in the frig vent panel(or whatever it’s called) and Terro for ants. Haven’t had issues for years.
