Yes! I have a Camco version that saved my family and Rig from a miswired situation on Monday this week! Hot on ground! Park owner Is color blind was the excuse.

Yep. I grabbed one on clearance made by trc. Very happy with it but if it fails I will switch to progressive for the lifetime warranty.

Just keep in mind that the plug in line ones can be stolen from your power post.

Yes I realized that right now camping world has the inline surge protector for 74.00 with free locking clasp, and I assume I could lock the box at the site too...

surges are the least of your worries. Get a device that protects against high or low voltage and other issues. Progressive Industries EMS series is the best there is IMO.

We're on our third TRC over an eight year problem and the second one was replaced under warranty while the first one was hard wired and went with our motor home when we traded it. They do protect for low and high voltage and other problems and it has saved us twice over that time. I would get another TRC in a heart beat. But this discussion is much like the one that is had by Ford versus Dodge versus Chevy. What we own is the best and only suitable brand.
