So in talking warranty work, we will be taking our Roo to an area Forest River Dealer to have some work done (water within both back bed doors and wet mattresses to begin with). We are not going back to the dealer we bought from at that is a 5 hour drive one way. Do we just leave it up to the local Forest River dealer to contact them, or do we contact them ahead of time? The camper doesn't go in until April 10, that is when the could first fit us in.

just let the local FR dealer contact FR warranty.
only if they aren't meeting your needs or FR denies something, do you contact Corporate.

When I needed to get the skylight replaced, I contacted the local repair shop (that FR told me about) directly and they told me it was no problem and scheduled me to get in that week. The warranty repair was done without any type of delay, and I didn't get the impression that they cared whether I purchased the unit from them. The money they got for completing the repair was the same whether I purchased from them or not.
