sorry! i thought you got it from that dealer you mentioned.

hate to say it but FR has helped owners with bunk door issues, whose warranties had expired. but can't remember them helping those that weren't original owners.
but i do think they sold them the replacement doors at cost.
i would talk to the dealer that supposedly inspected it and see if they can help with ordering a replacement door and installing it.
it's the least they could do, for missing such obvious issues that appear to have been there for some time.

Anybody out there ever try to fix or repair on their own? That is dry out and reaffix the fiberglass ?

If you get replacement doors, you have everything you need for you or someone else to do the repair. Replacing the fibreglass, I'm not so sure about that.

Not replace - reapply it.

The factory warranty rep, Greg Rollins, agreed to send me 2 new bunk door "cores" at FR's cost. I was the 2nd owner. I had to pay a local dealer to install the doors.

You definitely have to be vigilant in maintaining any seams you can see. After I got the new cores installed (they re-used the frames pieces and hinges), I went to work sealing all the seams around the frames.

i don't think you understand the construction of the bunk door.
it's filon, similar to what the trailer walls are made like.
it is a sandwich construction, with luan/foam/luan, coated with fiberglass.
there's no a simple fix for a door with that amount of delam.

I guess I can live with the delam if there's a way for the door to be sealed up again - to prevent decomposing.

At 4 years old, even if you were the original owner, I dont think it would be covered under warranty.

Doors are 2 year covered, you're right. I am trying to get them to work with me on the cost.
