I am sort of new on here also, I have gotten lots of information on here. When I see a good pdf file or something that I might use...I download it to my laptop so I can access it later if needed when I am on a trip. Just something that I do...welcome to the site.

Feel free! This is how the Herkbrary started and it just grew. Between photos and PDFs it is a little over 1.5 Gigs of data now.

One of the reason I love camping is the people. They have always been willing to help each other and are very considerate of each others space. Oh, every now and then you get some jerk but before the trip is over they have been escorted off the premises.

Its funny you say that!
Seems that there is a beat down path to my 5er after a long weekend of camping and then when I get home I need to restock my supplies .
And I never mind and people appreciate that . Best of all I enjoy it to .

From post #6 "But be careful, they'll let any hooligan sign up... I'll I had to do was read a captcha."

True, anyone can sign up. That is what you get with a FREE site. There is a group of volunteer moderators trying to keep things sane, and watching over the forums. We do our best, and ask that everyone pitch in, and let us know if you think you have found a "hooligan". We'll investigate, and take appropriate action. At least it will be appropriate to us. Hats off and a big THANK_YOU, to all that dedicate their time and knowledge to make this site work.

We had 13 people (plus the two of us) on our site the on Saturday, the first weekend we were out. Everyone is just so eager to get out camping that they all came out to enjoy some food and the fire. We had a great time, and that is what camping is all about. I will, however, have to restock my supply of Ice Hole and Rum Chata.

Yeah, the people is why I love camping also. I got to meet several that were on their way back home after being South for the winter. They decided to detour off the beaten path and come through the Nashville area. Hey, we need the tourism $$'s. Someone ask us why we love camping: many reasons, the main one is sitting out by a fire, letting the mind cool down and waving at those walking through the campground.
