The next Newbie question... "Must Haves".

Our 2015 23IKSS is our first "NEW" camper. We have tent camped and owned several PUP's since the mid-80's. DW & I were "amazed" with all the "stuff" that came with our Hybrid, and also amazed with all that it came WITHOUT (i.e., tank drain lines, a jack, etc.). Is there a list of items on the forum of "must haves" that we need to purchase for our new camper BEFORE we hit the road ? We have made multiple trips to CW, our dealer, Wally world, etc. as things have popped into our heads.... but I was hoping to come up with a checklist of sorts, that is based on the vast experience of the members of this forum. Thanks.

Congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure you're going to love it.

Here is what we picked up last year to get us started with our new 23IKSS. Plenty of things have been added since then, but this list will get you hooked up, leveled, and will keep your new rig from rolling away.

Water:
- White drinking water hose - 50' (Camco 22793)
- Pressure regulator (Valterra A01-1122VP)
- Inline water filter (Camco 40043)
- Utility hose - 25’

Sewer:
- Sewer hose 15’-20’ (Camco RhinoFlex or Revolution)
- Sewer hose support (Camco 43041)
- Clear 45 degree sewer fitting (Camco 39847) (yes, you do want to see what is coming out of the black tank)

Electrical:
- 25' 30amp electrical extension cord (Camco 55191)
- 30amp hard wired surge protector (Progressive Industries EMSHW30C)
- 50amp -> 30amp dogbone (Camco 55175)
- 15amp -> 30amp dogbone (Camco 55165)

Leveling/safety:
- Wheel chocks (4) (Camco 44472)
- Andersen levelers (2) (will require trimming to fit between axles)
- 12” x 55” plywood sheet (used if ground is soft so the Andersen levelers don’t sink)
- BAL X-Chocks (BAL 28012)
- Stabilizer Scissor Jack Socket (Camco 57363)
- 2”x12”x12’ cut into 1’ blocks for putting under stabilizers & tongue jack

The next round of things we purchased were for making the experience better - such as mods to the shower, mattress toppers, PUGS, etc. Plenty of threads with details on these upgrades. Feel free to ask any other questions.

You don't need this if you've already got a 3/4" socket and an adapter to chuck it in your drill. (If you've got a battery drill, you most likely already have the adapter.)
