We have just finished our first year in our 233S with the standard AC unit. Other than one trip to the Georgia mountains, all of our outings were in Florida (I live in the Orlando Area) and the stock AC had no problems keeping up with the temps and humidity levels. My vote would be don't waste any extra money upgrading if you don't need to.

Forest River told the dealer they didn't recommend the upgrade. And also told the deal the upgrade was no longer an option.
I questioned why FR showed in their current Roo brochure the AC as an upgrade. The dealer went back to FR and FR agreed to honor the AC upgrade option.
Needless to say we are getting the 15K AC. Camper will hopefully be here in March.
I'll be making my own gizmos. Did it for the PUP a whole lot cheaper.
