Tiling

Has anyone put tile around the kitchen stove area, so it does get too dirty from cooking on stove? I am thinking about doing this to our new Roo.

I would think because of all the movement during travel, the tile and grout would fall off/out.

I put granite tile in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Made it easy to clean and have no problems yet. Been almost 2 years.

There is a post here about putting panels that look like old style tin ceiling panels up for that. The panels are at Lowes. I did it to my Canyon Cay around the stove and sink and it looks awesome. Used high quality 2 sided tape. That way if I want to take it down, it will come off with no problems. Easy to wipe off if it gets greasy or dirty.

You can tile the whole thing if you want to do the work, many MH's and trailers come with tiles.

Most happen to come with carpet and what ever else due to costs.
There are some videos on Youtube.

OP was talkin' about tile backsplashes.

I've seen a thread here where the owner used those stick on sheets of "glass look" tiles...bought at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I'd like to find the tin-punch look *smaller* squares stick on tiles.

I've even seen stainless steel (or brushed nickel) stick on squares for use as a backsplash. That'd drive me nutz trying to keep spotless.

Humm I read "kitchen stove area" and thought it was the area like between the stove and island.

And yes Home Depot does sell the " smart tiles" which are self adhesive.
Some look dang good to.
