Personally, I prefer Trojan batteries over Exide, but that is a very good price on that battery.

Just to add more to the discussion at hand, I don't think the Exide's RC and 20-hr Ah numbers are too far off of what they should be comparing to a comparable Trojan battery. See the chart I made below...

Went through Columbia Mo and stopped at Menards and sprung for two of these yesterday. They had at least 30 of these on a pallet that were according to the sticker shipped in March....They are fresh ! Now the problem is that they wont fit on my stock battery tray with the box. Going to need to fab something to make it work.....

So with anyone that has picked up these batterys at Menards have they given you the 68 dollar price if you don't turn in an old battery? States on the web the price is with trade-in of old battery. Just curious?

I stop by one the other day. Cost extra 9 buck if you don't have a return battery.

There was a 9 dollar core...also had batt boxes for 6.50. Just finished welding up a tray that will fit both boxes.

Finished up the dual batt install with the subject exide batteries. Also had little helper who really wants to go camping. Tray fit very well and will do do just fine. Still need to mount the disconnect switch in a perm location.

Hey guys !

The battery in my trailer is dead. Am an in Indiana and the exide battery went up to 75 dollars after the weekend. I talked to the manager and grabbed one at 68 dollars. is this not a real marine/RV battery ? Should I return it ? Meijers has Pro-cell (their brand) 185 minutes@25 amps for 95 dollars. I could grab the Menards one if it is not going to last me a night of some lights and furnace use.

Thanks for your quick advice

I don't think they are. I bought two of them and they were at 12.4 when I got home been on charger for 3 weeks. And a 1.5 million candle light power spot light will drain them from 13.6 to 12.2 in five mins. I don't think that is good. My heater in camper pulls more power then that spot Light.

It could be I got two bad batteries. Or they are not that good. First time I tried that brand. And I'm not sure if I can that them back, having them for 3 weeks now. I'm starting to think about just going two 6 volt and see what happens there. 90% of camping for me is in the middle of nowhere.

I got it today and did not install it at all. I am pretty sure they will take it back tomorrow, hopefully. Small chance of both of them being bad right ? .... You get what you pay for ... Darn, I am sad now ...
