Trouble starts with first rainfall. A bunch of these jacks were sold with no gasket on the manual crank access plug. Water gets past the twist-on cover, enters through the hole in the top of the jack and is trapped inside the gear housing until the level rises high enough to flow out through the motor.
Mine died in the first year so I sent pictures to the warranty folks at RVW. FR sent me a replacement jack (whole thing) and didn't want the old one back. Sure sign they knew what the deal was.
