Took delivery of Brand New 2011 Roo 21RS

Well we think we lucked in. We found a brand new 2011 Rockwood Roo that had for whatever reason never sold on a dealers lot until we bought it. Got it for almost half it's original price because of it's age. Perfect for getting into smaller campsites we couldn't do with our 38' 5th wheel. Our Roo is 21 feet closed and when the rear bed slide is out it's 26'. With the sway bars on the new Reese hitch it tows like a dream. Almost as good as how a 5th wheel tows!

Can't wait to get out in it for the first time now that the weather is a lot warmer! Going to go to a KOA with full service for the first time so we can run everything and check out all water/gas/electrical connections etc and make sure everything is working 100%.

Cool, if it has the 2011 tire on it you may want to swap them out unless they were made in the USA.

Haven't looked at the spare. What's wrong with it? Just old?

You should look for tire manufacturing dates and sidewall cracking.
The tires will probably be older than the trailer.

Congrats on the new(ish) trailer, what a great deal!

We love our 21RS, and I'm sure you will as well.

Happy Camping!

Yes, check all 5 of them unless the four on the ground have just been put there.

X2 on the sidewall cracking/de laminating near the rear slide...our 2009 21RS had that problem , but is otherwise a very comfortable and nicely laid out RV. We took it back to the factory in Indiana and the Tech said that the cracking and delamination near the rear slide is a known problem and is solved by replacing the seal (the old one leaked) and rear panels along with supporting hardware...we were "fortunate" enough to be lightly rear ended on an icy over passed while stopped for an accident in Indiana last Feb, so the panels and seals were replaced as a part of the repair billed to our insurance company. $5k later our Roo is like new and we are once again happy campers. The Forest City facility was excellent in repairing it in a timely and user friendly fashion, so we were very fortunate to be able to bring it back to the factory.
