Tool kit

Im picking up my 19 roo 21ssl this week and i was wondering what tools everyone keeps with the trailer in case of loose screws, bolts, etc.

Is there somewhere you can find all of the sockets, wrenches, or any other tools for specific models? Ideally i want pick them up before i get the trailer

No such thing as a model-specific tool box.

I figured that, I guess i should have specified better. I was wondering if there was a website or hardcopy somewhere that tells you what you need so that you can purchase it

Get one of those screw driver kits that have one handle & a couple dozen different bits. I have come across so many different types of screw heads working on our RVs. Some I never knew existed. Also, we once had the hitch ball start to loosen up while on a trip, and no wrench I owned would open wide enough to fit the nut. Got a 24" beast of an adjustable wrench at Harbor Freight for around $30 before coupon. The thing is great.

I put together a basic tool kit from Harbor Freight for about $75.00. Their tools are great for occasional use.

Get the basic tools you use around the house, and be sure you have a multimeter and know how to use it.

You'll need a Robertson (square head) screwdriver for the majority of screws. Philips won't work. Get a small Tupperware jar for all the screws you'll find courteously scattered behind cabinets.

Avoid using a power screw driver where possible to avoid stripping the holes. The cabinet over our sink had stripped screws from the factory so I drilled a couple more holes for some of the extra screws,

Following Mpouls1’s link to Jared Gillis’ videos is very worthy of your time.

Don’t forget the #2 square bit screwdriver!

Make sure you have a 1-1/16" socket and 18" breaker bar for your anode rod if you have a Suburban water heater.

Make sure you have an appropriate socket to fit your wheel stud nuts. And a torque wrench to go with it will help.

Something to jack it up to change a flat tire. Either a bottle jack to the frame or a Trailer Aid on the good tire to lift up the bad tire off the ground. Trailer Aids come in two heights; either get the high one (Trailer Aid Plus) or make sure the low one will do.

Anderson Levelers can sometimes be used. Camco also makes a version now.

Get a cheap digital multimeter, too. You can them really cheap at Harbor Freight - sometimes for free with a coupon.

Also - See this similar thread that's going now:

Tool kit

Simple things like screw drivers, hammer, bungee cords, tire plug kit, small tire air compressor, tire pressure gauge, basic tool set, sockets and or lug wrench for tires. Also don’t forget something to jack the trailer up with. Duct tape, super glue, replacement tail light bulbs, drill for leveling jacks. The list could go on forever [emoji23]. And I’m sure I have listed things others may have. The thing is really there is no wrong tool for a camper. You will always find something better or easier to use or have. Others will give you ideas as well. My toolbox keeps changing every year [emoji23]

Buy this stuff as you need it. Get a small notebook and jot down what you need. A small plastic tool box will keep it all together.

Some sort of Federal Law mandates a Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowes in every county of the country and they have all you need.

I carry this - at least what I can think of from memory:

Torque Wrench
socket for lug nuts
3/8 socket set
open/closed end wrench set
screwdrivers
square tip screwdriver
fuses
bulbs
assortment of pliers and wire cutters
hammer
allen / hex wrenches
voltmeter
adjustable wrench
heavy duty jack
etc.
