All the tradesmen do have the tow package. Comes standard. We did not buy it. We bought a Nissan Titan v8. Got a much better deal and more for trade in. It is used as well. We can't afford a new truck and I am not sure I want to try.

I can't speak for the 07 and 08 model but the 2013 that I have is great. What would you like to know?

Yep. We went to an RV show and chose our TT because it was less costly than a hybrid, which is what we went to buy.
That then forced us into a bigger TV.

I would like to know a couple different things. What has your average mpg been while towing? With the newer 6 speed trans, do you pull with overdrive on or off? Primarily, I'm also looking at this vehicle so my family of 5 has an enjoyable trip when traveling longer distances. My supercrew gets a little small in the cab after 3 or 4 hours on the road.

To note, your answer above stating that it is "great" does answer my question.

Two weeks ago we took our longest trip from Texas to Florida 1969 miles. 9.9 going and 8.9 coming home. Cruise set at 65. I pull with overdrive on and tow-haul on. It is a very comfortable drive. When we returned from Florida, we spent one night at home and then took off and went camping that weekend. I picked up ghe camper last night for another weekend trip. We have to get all our trips in during summer when the kids dont have sports every weekend.

if you're towing with a gasser, won't matter much what speeds your trans has.
nearly all gassers will get mpg in the 8-12 range, depending on wind and hills/mountains.
it's the air resistance of the front of the trailer that's the big factor on gas mileage.
