Tow vehicle

Anyone tow their roo or shamrock 233s with a new Jeep Grand Cherokee? Looking into buying one soon cause the lease is up on the truck we have? My wife has an outlander sport which she would like to trade on for the jeep and I can just turn the truck back in. We have three cars and really only use the truck for camping.. Thanks

They have a diesel version? I'm not concerned about power, I'm concerned about the stability. I had a trailblazer and you could feel a bird fly by it. It would be all over

Just happened to watch a youtube video of the new eco diesel towing a 5700 lbs boat with three people inside. They were already over payload. And we all know the roo's are tongue heavy. And we have 4 passengers and two labs. I don't think this will work. The video stated there was some swaying and dog waging with just towing a boat

I tow a roo 21dk with an xterra. Trailer is probably around 4500. No trouble whatsoever. Good tires , WDH and brake controller make it work well for me. The xterra has 5000lb towing cap. Hard to say how the Cherokee would handle but I know my setups limits. Hard decision. Good luck.

Thanks for all the input.. Appreciated... I'm going to see if a dealer will let me take it for a day and give it a test run. If all else fails I guess I'll have to buy myself another truck

We looked at durangos if I remember right the Durango payload was around 1700 and towing was over 7200. This may be an option

We also tow our Roo 233s with a 2012 Durango Citadel with the tow package and the 5.7 V8 Hemi. It has no problem hauling our Roo. Gas mileage is horrible 8mpg.
