Towel bar above toilet?

21SS, anyone install the towel bar above the toilet? It's the exact width of the wall to the right of the shower. I can't put it on the door because I already have some hooks for hanging a towel there. I'm nervous to drill since the vent stack of the toilet must be behind that wall, but the dril holes would be all the way at the ends of the wall, so I am thinking it will be okay?

The vent pipe is narrower than the cavity in your wall, so just don't use a really long drill bit and be careful. Try drilling a real small pilot hole, then insert thin mechanics wire in the hole and poke around. If all goes as planned, use expanding drywall anchors to hold the towel bar sturdy.

Thanks for the advice. That's exactly what I did, and all went well. No holes through the outside or electrocution I even used a level, then realized the camper is on a bit of a slope, so it probably won't look straight.
All-in-all, a good day. Did the plexiglass mod to protect the vanity, installed the towel bar, and fixed my blue LED stair lights. Well worth the day of playing hookey from work, lol.

A hacksaw will shorten the bar to whatever width you want. They sell bars that look like mine at Home Depot

That's exactly where I mounted my towel bar on my 23SS - above the toilet and had no issues.
