This not useful info, as I stated before, the OP asked about a hybrid mattress, in the Hybrid section, and a mattress like a Sleep Number is unusable in a hybrid.

Uncomfortable Mattress

A quick update on my mattress. I took the camper to the local forest river dealer and complained about the mattress. Forest River just outright denied the claim and said that unless something was visibly wrong with the mattress then they considered the mattress to fine. The local forest river is also a camping world and they have emailed the mattress manufacturer and have asked what there procedure is to determine a bad mattress. I was impressed that they went the extra step. They have yet to get a response but it still early in the game.

Uncomfortable Mattress

I had a flagstaff 625d with inner spring foldable mattresses similar to the roo. They were fine. The foam junk in my starcraft hybrid require 3" gel foam mattresses toppers

I can not keep the bunk mattress and toppers attached to the door. It's only one strap across with a plastic male to female backpack clasp. Not a secure cinch point.

Some like some kind, some like another. Until you try one out, you won't really know if you like it. And unless you can show it's defective, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's broken. The next guy might like it just find.

So good luck with your claim.

I just spoke with the Camping World of Birmingham and they informed me that I am getting a new mattress. The manufacturer is shipping a new mattress and billing Forest River. Woo-Hoo!!

Is there a reason to think that they wont be sending you a mattress exactly the same as the one you already have? Just curious as we added a memory foam topper to ours and it is pretty comfortable. I am sure it would be less so without the topper, but not sure that is unexpected from a "camper" mattress.

I really hope they do not send me a mattress as bad as the one I have now. If I get a mattress as bad as the one I have now, I am just going to put a for sale sign on it and send down the road. My thought is the amount of money I spent on this camper, at the very least I should have a decent mattress, not a great mattress but a decent one. Plus anything man made can be made poorly and I am really hoping that I just got a bad mattress. Last weekend we took out the camper and we tried two memory foam toppers and I got up and slept on the dinette. By the way, the dinette is pretty comfortable. I have not tried the rear bed because my daughter sleeps in a pac-n-play beside us and I want to be in front of her for that just in case moment someone decides to enter or we have to leave the camper.

We have a bad mattress in our Avitaor. After just sleeping on it three times it is sunk in the middle. Now when I sleep on it i roll to the middle. Id I sleep on the edge fill like I have hold on to keep from rolling. Think we will buy our mattress and replace.
