Hey all. What is available for keeping the bunk ends warm in cooler weather and cooler in hot weather? Some form of blanket? I have a 2012 23ss ROO. Thanks

What a lot of people use

Basically it is foil and bubble sheet for reflective insulation. Works for both hot and cold. Most people use these: PopupGizmos

I also placed a layer under the bunks. Made a huge difference in cold weather given that you weight compresses the foam down to less than an inch of insulation UNDER you.

Popup Gizmos have probably a 98% customer satisfaction record.
#1 hybrid mod. Also has other benefits, like keeping the canvas clean/protected and darkening for late risers or afternoon naps.

Adding Reflectix makes it even better.

Popup Gizmo's on top, blue foam board and a space blanket under the mattress and reflectix cut to size and zipped into the window space. I spent the winter in a popup in Virginia Beach KOA one year...

x2 with Dan's suggestions. I use gizmos and they also help with condensation. You can also look into mattress heaters for the cooler temp nights.

I have been using space blankets and binder clips for past 3 years. $6 each and keep it cool and dark all summer long.

IMHO, Reflectix isn't durable enough in wind.

warm/cool for canvas bunk ends

I use blue foam board under the mattress and reflectix cut to size and zipped into the window space.
I did not use Popup Gizmos, but found a heavy duty space blanket that is reflective on one side and use 7 spring clamps on each end. The TT was very comfortable in the 90 degree Florida sun! I bought them for $44.00 from Mountain Gear. They were the perfect size! https://www.mountaingear.com/accesso...MG235460P.html

The spring clamps were from Menard's.

The 5x7 All Weather/Sportsmen blankets are available at many places, including Cabelas, REI, Campmor and various online places.

The only problem is that that won't completely cover the front tent end because it's longer than the others, Europe to the slope of the front.
Many buy an extra one and cut it to sew on an extension.

+1 for PUGs. But, another thing that really helped for us was to add an vent in the rear to get some airflow for the rear bunk. Was actually really easy once you get past the whole "I can't believe I'm drilling a hole into the ceiling" uneasiness. :-) I wrote up some details and included pics here.
