Warped bunk end

On my 23SS the front bunk end looks warped on the bottom 1/4 of the door. There is no water leak or damage. From the inside it is perfectly level. I have seen this on another 23SS that I drive by once in awhile. Anyone else have this? The back bunk doesn't have this.

Our 2011 23SS got a little wavy along the lower 1/3 of the front bunk... no water penetration inside... few months later was noticeably worse. Landed up receiving a replacement front bunk door under warranty. Replaced the door a few weeks before trading the unit in on our current TT. Once removed, original door was saturated and in a advanced stage of delamination. See attached image.

Sounds like a delaminate issue. Our 233s had 2 bunks do it. Had them replaced...thanks to the warranty. What I would like to know is how do folks take care of this out warranty. Lifetimer, I would still approach your dealer and see if the could possibly squeeze this through as a warranty repair....as it is money for them from the factory...labor charges. (I believe that is correct...)

I was able to get the door under warranty directly from the factory. My dealer is 2+ hours away... wasnt about to travel back and forth to dealer twice for service. I was able to trade the labor fro freight and had the door shipped directly to me. Installed it solo in about 2 hours... including the decal and gaskets.

You can also order directly from factory. You need to locate the correct person for Roo/Shamrock parts. I contacted Gregg Rollins for warranty help.

Try:

Older list but you might be able to find current person.

Just noticed the same thing on the front bunk on my 21SS. Just sort of a slightly warped looking area in the lower left corner. I checked the bunk end when we let it down but couldn't find any evidence of moisture on the wood or canvas in that area. I didn't have a camera handy to take a picture. Is there something else I should be checking?

dieselbobcat's picture is exactly what I have. I have had the unit over 2 years. so out of standard warranty. Luckily I also got the extended warranty from RVWholesaler so I will be making some phone calls. I will wait until after my last trip of the year in October so that I don't lose camping time since there is no water damage or softening yet.

That is what mine looks like. My dealer called and said mine is loaded inside of a camper and should be delivered soon.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using the FRF mobile app.
