What size portable waste tank does everyone get? I'm thinking of getting the 12 gallon one for 65.00 I won't use it much...

that's the one i have and since it's usually just the two of us, it's perfect.
though i have used it when camping with family.

but will never use it for black water! we would have to stay in one place, for at least two weeks to need it for that.

That's a good size if you think it won't get much use. We have a larger 32gl 4- wheel Barker that I use for my family, but we often have 1 1/2-2 week stays at state parks.

all depends on your water usage. If you shower in there, you might want larger. I have a 27 gallon. If you don't use much water, no sense hauling around a large tote.

Its better than having to break down camp to empty tanks, we found a 25 gal at a rummage sale for $30 . 4 wheel and you just hook to trailer hitch and tow it to the pump out station.

Waste tank

I purchased a 25 gal tote n stor 4 wheel model.

I bring it with us if we don't have full hookups which is often, and only if we are camping for more than 3 days.

Like others, I'll never utilize it for the black tank.

I considered the 15 gal vs the 25 gal, but the price difference wasn't but a couple of dollars difference.

Sometimes I think it would be better to have the 15 gal since I throw it in the back of the truck when not in use, but I can empty the gray a good bit in one trip.

I'd suggest something - but that's just me.

Ok thanks for the input, we only stay at few times a year for a week at a time and do not take showers in the camper as more water goes out than in lol

We wanted a small one as well to carry in the back of the truck, plus the weight adds up quick when you fill a bigger tank making it more work to handle. We went with the 15 gallon tote-n-store. The tote-n-store can fill with a garden hose, so I also got a small electric water pump so I can pump the grey tank into the waste tank in the bed of the truck to take it to the dump station rather than tow it.

Most of the 11-12 gallon tanks are basic models that don't have the same features as the rest of the tanks have, so that's why we went one size bigger.

I got a good deal on a 30g but it is big and heavy. Tows behind the truck. A 10-15 gal would probably be good.
