Talked to a bunch of long time campers, and they said that the type campgrounds we stay in, filtering water is mostly a non-issue (not always, I realize). So I got a cheapo Camco filter and am making a place to hang it in the water bay, and an Evo 'fast flow' filter.....and if that doesn't help, I may just remove it entirely! I use bottled water for my one cup of morning coffee and the refrig has a built in water filter.......so.......

more filtering equals less pressure, and vice versa.

I use the F1Pb filter from the RV Water Filter Store and have no problems with water pressure. In fact, at the KOA that we stayed at last weekend, my water pump gave better pressure than the "city water" spigot. I did upgrade my water to pump to the SHURflo 4008-101-E65 3.0 Revolution Water Pump

How did you get the filter disconnected?
Can you do it without messing with the crimp rings?
I'm concerned if I don't re-crimp and change the pex pipes this will weaken the connection and we can have leaking there in the future....

Tks,
R
I cut the braided hose going to the camper with a razor close to the fitting coming out of the filter. Then I cut the T that connects the street water, pump and hose to filter out with the razor. I put in a new 1/2" T and connected the three hoses I cut. I used gold old fashion clamps with the nut driver/screw adjustment.

Bright side is its not the KW1, but still a WaterPur , EXTORSION business model, filter and housing...may as well use it until the filter is spent and your replacement is obtained.

As I said in post #6, the CCI-10-CLW housing is fine, but you'll want to use aftermarket filters. You'll have to decide what quality you want in a filter.

I also replaced the filter with a coupler and went Camco. If the FR1 could have been a quality housing I would have been willing to pay the $30 per filter. It's supposed to last 90 days and I don't camp 90 days / year. So it would have been once a year. But the housing didn't make it 90 days. The FR1 specs filter down to 5 microns. The Camco is 30 microns.

I have the CCI-10-CLW housing. I use the Camco Evo Premium 10 inch filter which is 5 microns and removes just about everything. Fits perfect. You can see the specs here. http://amzn.to/2qQuC8z

I'm using this.

Camco 40631 EVO Premium Water Filter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00523AMBC..._NeOmzbNX9MGCS

I think it will accept any 10" filter if I decide I don't like the Camco evo ones. (One reason I went with this one)

I have only run about 100 gallons through it so far but no water pressure issues as of yet. This is my first time trying it.

I replaced the stock filter housing (right) with this. Now I have a much greater variety of cheaper and easily available filter cartridges.
It was more difficult project than I expected primarily due to the awkward location of the filter; my older bones don't contort quite as well as they used to.
Also, I had to track down the proper fittings to work with the trailer's braided hose and the different thread size of the new filter. I found just what I needed at Tractor Supply. Be careful not to use brass fittings not designed for plumbing as they can contain lead. Fortunately the ones I found are nylon.

Since this is posted in the Roo/Shamrock hybrids section of the Forum, your Sunseeker's filter might be different.

You could try turning off the pump or disconnecting from city. The pressure makes it very tight.

Mine was really tight too. I had to use a strap wrench to break it loose, but be careful as you could easily rip the entire unit loose from its mount.
