Where did you order from? We still need a WDH and our dealer wants to sell us a Huskey for 650.00, but we're more comfortable with the Equalizer since it's a name brand that we see a lot of RV forums.

i have seen this same question and a similar response from Equalizer, on other forums.

i just didn't know where it was but would have copied it and pasted it here.

my '07 Roo 23SS had a "dry" hitch weight of 367lbs.
luckily, i saw pics of another 23SS owner with a scale, showing his weighing over 600lbs., loaded.
so i bought the 1000/10,000lbs. Equalizer and have had no ride issues or poor handling.
i'm actually probably around 500lbs. tongue weight but the setup rides like a dream.

RVWholesalers web site had the best price including shipping when I bought my 12,000 pound equalizer 3 years ago.

This is all so greek to me! LOL So with the Roo 233s, I should be good with the 1000/10000lbs? It would give us room for loaded weight according to the specs. I just want to make sure we do everything right the first time and not learn the hard way!

I didn't find the 4 point on RV Wholesalers website, just the 2 point.

the real Equal-i-zer is 4-point sway control.
the E2 model is 2-point sway control.
RVW's website features the 4-point Equalizer on the first page of its online parts store, not the 2-point.

your 233S has a heavier hitch weight than my 23SS, so go with the 1000/10,000 model.

or you can call Dane at Tropical RV in Ft Pierce - Equilizer kit is $449 with shank and $19 for the equalizer ball - If you need a drop or raised hitch - he can accomodate for that too.
Just another idea for ya - no idea what shipping would be but always worth a call to see if you can save some money

Ok, so you all have me worried. I just picked up our new 233s on Monday. This being our first TT, I wasn't smart enough to ask about the WDH the dealer threw in for free. They put on an Ultra-Fab 1000/14000. Set up looks fine as my TV (2008 Sequoia 5.7L) and TT were perfectly level. I have very little towing experience, but I was very surprised at how well the trailer handled on the 80-mile trip home from the dealer - half of that on the DC Beltway sandwhiched between semis. The tralier never waggled an inch. But, I now have to ask...is this a safe/adequate hitch? Last thing I want is to endanger my family or have our first experience end in disaster. Thanks.

I know my dh wants to call our dealer in the morning to see if they even sell them before we do anything. I'll keep this in mind for sure, though.
