WDH storage on frame

So here is what I did with a left over receiver laying around. I got the idea from others who welded one or clamped one to the tongue, but I have other plans for the tongue so I needed to find a new location. It's welded directly to the frame. Very sturdy and clean.

That's interesting...never seen one mounted up there before. What's the plan for it?

Well mounted there the WDH is out of the way of the tongue when I park the trailer and want to store the hitch.

Where the battery is now we will be getting 2- 6 volt gc2 batteries and will be making a special storage area there to hold the WDH bars securly. So with the propane, WDH sway brackets and the battery storage area I didn't want to clutter the tongue with a receiver welded to the frame when I didn't have a plan yet for the storage area design.

Make sure you lock it in place. Another thread on the forum a couple months ago, a guy said his WDH was stolen off his truck (he wasn't sure if it happened in the CG or in town), no locking pin.

Thanks. Yeah I plan on moving my locking receiver pin when I take it off of the truck. I'm very paranoid that the hitch, sway bars, batteries, generator will just walk away while away from the camp site. I'm taking all the precautions so if something happens then so be it.

Agree with rockfordroo...get a locking pin. Just set up my Roo for the weekend...hitch and bars go into the van for safe keeping Like the idea btw.
