We are joining the Roo family! We went with the 23ss.

For those entertained by my tongue weight discussions:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...33s-33408.html

in the end, the wife and I favored the lighter tongue weight, although slight difference over the convenience of having that extra pop out bed. After all there is only three of us and the dog. Can't forget the dog!

We pick up the Roo on the 31st of January. We'd like to pick it up sooner, but we are going to be busy Cub Scout camping next weekend on the USS Lexington.

I need to begin planning for the equipment needed and start making those purchases. Should be fun.

We had an 08 23SS for 5 years and loved it. Other then a leak issue with the bunk doors which the factory has fixed by redesigning the door frame and seal system. If your dogs like ours was his favorite sleeping place at night was in front of the sofa. The only reason we got rid of it was we both reached the age where we could not go thru the night without a pit stop, and climbing over each other in the middle of the night got a little old. In fact after 1 2 week trip once we got home the DW still tried to crawl over me in the middle of the night to make her pit stop even though we were at the house.

Congrats on your new purchase. We bought a 2013 23ss back in August and love it... We have used it 8 times so far and only had a few minor problems. Your going to live all the storage inside...

We have a 2009 23SS which we also love very much. We are also considering a TT as we have the same pit stop problem.

That's funny! Kind of reminds me of my wife several years ago. We had spent so much time at the lake on the boat, that when we came home, she felt like she had to jump in the pool to pee.

Congrats on your 23ss. I've always liked that floor plan, but we went for the 233s. We have 2 kids and needed the extra bed.

We've gone out camping on two occasions now- short trips to the local state park some 45 minutes from my house. We love this thing!

I ordered the popup gizmos yesterday as we are off to Caprock canyons state park (Texas) for spring break. Given their unexpected snow last week, we will want to be prepared. I'm concerned with the forecast as the temp may dip down to a light freeze. I've got the heated tanks but I'm still going to be concerned. Yikes!

Another mod you might want to consider is adding Reflectix to the bunk end windows. We had them in our popup and hybrid. Helpful when running the furnace and AC.
