Weird leak- anyone have this happen?

Heard a draining sound from under the camper - there is water coming out of the holding tank but we are hooked into city water.

It appears as tho the cap is missing on the tank(see pic). I have never filled this tank so I am confused why water is coming out from it. I am reluctant to put a cap on something until I figure out what the problem is (ie drainage)

The only time water leaks from it is when the water is turned on.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated

That looks like your potable water tank, maybe the check valve for city water is leaking water back into the tank

As the post above says your check valve in water pump my be letting water pass and entering FW tank. Turn off city water. Then turn water pump on. Then open faucet and close faucet several times. Each time letting the pump go on and off. Occasionally the check valve in pump doesn't seat right and this procedure will allow it to reseat.

Do you have water in your potable water tank as shown on your indicators. If not fill it to about 1/2 full after closing the drain on the bottom of the tank. without city water connected do as mentioned above. that should reset the check valve then reconnect city water and keep an eye on the tank indicator and see if it continues to rise.

Thank you - gave this a shot ... worked temporally but the leak is back. Will keep on trying to reseat the valve

What they are telling you will not stop the leak but will stop the fresh water tank from filling while hooked to city water. That could be a damaged drain cap that you can replace.

Guessing that leak is your low point drain or fw tank drain. Cap it then put some water in tank then do as suggested above.

Thanks for your feedback - so there is suppose to be a cap on this, correct? I didn't want to cap it until I figured out what the heck was happening.
