What are these for? - Page 2

My TV is on a hanging wall bracket. I looked at the back of the TV to see if there was hangers for that outside bracket and couldn't see any. And removing the TV from the wall bracket looks like a major effort. Am I missing something? Dudleydoo and KC, are your TVs on a wall mount that pulls out about 9 inches and if so, how do you take the TV off easily?

I have a 42" TV mounted outside on my Windjammer wherever I want it mounted. I also have a dedicated DirecTv receiver for this TV stashed inside of a compartment. Here is the mount I use:

GOstik Products Flat screen TV Suction Cup Mount | GoStik

It's not cheap, but it really is the perfect solution for me. It will hold the weight and it will attach wherever I want it.

The bracket on my 23ss lifts up from the attachment point at the wall.

It is much easier to pull out and put back if you extend it out. At first it seems like it would be difficult but it really does come out and go back in very easily.

Is that outside cable hook-up for when you have park cable available or does it feed from the antenna?

Also, anyone know where to order an additional TV bracket so I could hang a second TV outside without disturbing the inside TV?

Antenna. There is a thread in here that has the link to the brackets, pretty recent one. For the life of me I am not finding it.

Thanks RooVader! Glad its for the antenna since I've never been in a park with actual cable available. I'll look for the bracket thread. Thought it would be cool to mount a TV outside for when the 3 yr. old grandson visits so he can see what a drive-in was like.

Wish they would have installed a hdmi jack too to watch the DVDs from the DVD player that's inside

The hookup should work for both cable and antenna.

You can have your dealer order another TV bracket from Forest River.

Hopefully here is a picture of our outside inside and tV mounts. It seemed hard to get off the first time as I did not know what to expect.

Try dealer or some of these seem the same mounts ramco-eng.com .

Our Puma came with two different mounts .

Thanks Oaklevel. I'm camping this afternoon and will look that my inside connection looks like yours. If it does then it would be compatible with the outside bracket. My outside bracket looks more like the originator of this thread's picture

I'm a directv subscriber. What I do is bring a receiver from home, and hook that up inside the Roo.

I've got two Hdmi cables - one for inside use, and one that is 30' for outside use.

Instead of having to bring the tv and receiver outside, all I have to do is remove the tv and unplug the shorter Hdmi, etc.

The 30' Hdmi cable runs from my 23ss "tv area" out the door and down the side of the Roo, over the door inside and out the dinette window, or I run it through my front tent end of the Roo and then to the outside tv (the best option in my opinion).

Works for me.

The TV does pull out from the wall a bit but I have not looked behind it yet. Since I didn't know that gizmo was for holding the TV I didn't think about removing it from. I'll have to go out there today and check this out.

I'm not sure about watching TV outside. It might be okay as long as I don't disturb other campers.

I never thought about having it outside to show the grandkids what an "outdoor" movie theater was like.....good one.

The bracket can also, especially in pairs, be used to hold an outdoor grill on certain models. Our RV had 3 brackets, two to use as a pair for an outdoor grill and one by itself for the TV. I have a friend who had an aluminum framed trailer and he installed additional brackets being sure to tap into one of the metal studs. He used s silicone adhesive to seal the screw holes and used expanding wall anchors for drywall to hold the weight of a larger, stainless steel grill he uses outside. He uses a 5 gal propane tank and regulator to supply the grill. He claims it works well. I have no experience.

You were right. The TV wall bracket has the same mount on the wall as it does on my kitchen slide. Just unplug the tv, cable, hdmi and audio jacks and it is free. Will find a suitable cable in my basement to put in the trailer just in case I want to watch it outside. Will not be able to use the outside speakers because the TV will not be hooked up to the entertainment unit through the RCA jacks.

I have a 233s. I was also sad there was not an hdmi hook up outside. There is an easy fix:

You need a twenty foot hdmi cable. Disconnect the stereo and pull it out. Remove the microwave. Connect the 20ft hdmi cable to an extra hdmi out connection in the back of the stereo. Fish the cable behind the microwave and down the side of the pantry. You will see lots of wires behind the microwave running down the false cavity on the side of the pantry. Remove the false back of the lower pantry cabinet. You will see the outside opening for the lp gas line for the grill. Run the hdmi through that

Now when the tv is outside open lp gas hatch and your hdmi will be waiting for you with 5 extra feet of extension to connect to the tv.

This is for the 233s layout but if you have the lp gas outlet near the tv there should be a way to get an hdmi from the stereo to that opening.
