I'm sold on the x-chocks, ....... IMO one of the old cheap spark-plug wrench works a lot better than that ratchet that comes with the x-chocks(link below), found one for $1 at a flea market,..... my axles are very close together, so trying to ratchet back and forth between the tires was confining

I've used the same ones on 3 different trailers for the last 10 yrs and never had a problem with the furnished ratchets. I leave the ratchets on them when they are being used. Apply a little oil once a year and they work great for me. A ratchet for each chock. I like that.

maybe your axles/tires are farther apart than mine are,... TO ME, on MY tires, it is confining to have to swing the ratchet back and forth between the tires, ......TO ME, with the spark plug wrench sitting on top of the x-chock screw it is as easy as opening or closing an outside water valve, ..... I actually do have two of the spark plug wrenches, but only use one and leave it sitting on the last x-chock that I install, I know where IT is when I need it and there's no need to keep up with an extra wrench,..... I'll keep the spare for when/if I ever lose the other one,........

The Xchocks worked great for me until I got my Cedar Creek, the tires are to close together to use the XChocks, I gave them to a friend who can use them

I have the Mini Lite version of your trailer. While the swing isn't great, that's why you have a ratchet. It hasn't bother me any. But everybody's different. That's why some people feel the X-chocks are acceptable for firming up the trailer, while others don't think so.

I used the ratchet at first but never did like the swing of the ratchet being restricted and banging between the tires because of how close they are, maybe yall don't mind that but I did,.... when I discovered how convenient it is for the wrench to sit above the tires and opening or closing is just a twist of the wrist, I was sold on the spark plug wrench, .... yall use the ratchet, I'll use the spw and we'll all be happy..................

Somewhere in the documentation that comes with the X chocks is a disclaimer from the Norco/BAL legal department telling you to not rely on them as the primary method of keeping your trailer from moving. They are for stabilization only.

The reasoning I believe is the possibility does exist for a tire to lose air and then the X chock loses grip.

Even with the tire at proper pressure it is exactly like driving the tire over the curb at the edge of the parking lot, the tire will flex at the curb nearly to the rim.

follow the price, ...the top one is the standard model, what we have and probably what most people buy, ...the 2nd is a heavy duty/beefy model(and so is the price), .....bottom one in the pic looks very weak, compared to the others,.....the standard model pair # is 28012 for $69.81 at Amazon, you will want to have two, buy the 28012 and save some money, you wont be disappointed.........

plus, I would offer the spark plug wrench idea(the cheap wrench that used to come with the old lawnmowers), .......IMO, much easier to use than the included ratchet, ....try it, you might agree .......

I bought the X-Chock pair at CW for $42.00 had a coupon and they were on sale cheaper then Amazon. Used them first time this weekend and I would say they got rid of 70% of the shaking, redid my scissor jacks front and back now have hardly any shaking but the x-chicks made the most improvement so I highly recommend them, worth the $ for sure.

ID:	108930I installed the JT Strong-arm jack stabilizers today, WOW does it make a difference! they were $255 total shipped from amazon.

I dd the x chocks a while ago and they did a little but the JT Strong-arms are the ticket if you are looking for superior stability.

Here are some pics.

by the way they were a BEAST to install, mostly because I already put a rear hitch on the back.

Do the x chocks help if you have a level up system?
We have a new Cedar Creek Silverback 35ik and are wondering if these will work? Should we still use traditional block chocks as well?

I have seen ppl with them and they say they work even with auto leveling, so I would assume they do, would make sense

I sold my X-Chocks after we got the Montana with 6-point leveling. There have been a couple of occasions where I used a regular chock to stop the FW from moving when I thought the incline was too great to safely unhook from the TV, but it didn't move more than 1/4" anyway.

I'm sitting outside right now watching the wheels while a pack of little monsters are moving around in the FW and there's no movement, so no, I don't think they'd help at all.
