Wheel chocks & X-chocks

Howdy,

Probably a dumb question, but if I use X-chocks on my 23IKSS, do I still need to use the traditional wheel chocks (the wedges that go on the outside of the tires at the ground) ?

Yes, X-chocks should not be used as a park brake alone.

I use wheel chocks and then snug up the X-chocks for additional holding and to stabilize the trailer from rocking.

THANKS, Dave !

I am new to the Hybrid experience. We had a popup for more than 20 years, so I am still learning on the 23IKSS. We expect delivery in a couple of weeks, so I am getting all the "goodies" for it now.

That's a nice floor-plan. It came out the year after I bought my 23SS, otherwise I would have considered it.

Don't forget to get a set of PUGs (Pop up Gizmos) for your tent ends.

X 3 use wheel chocks to keep the trailer from rolling and then put the x chocks in for extra stability.

I have only used the X Chocks for 10 yrs now and never had a trailer move with the 4 tires locked with them. See no need for extra wheel chocks. I install them before I unhitch and that's the last thing I remove before towing.

They should not be installed until the trailer is leveled and removed prior to hitch up according to the instructions that came with mine. I have used them that way for 7 years now and they work perfectly. I use wedge chocks to hold the trailer while we are leveling it then put the X-Chocks in.
