Where do you sleep in your Camper?
I was just curious where most people sleep in their camper if it has both front and back bunk ends. I have a 23ikss, and my wife thinks the back is suppose to be the "master" because of the TV mount, but she hates getting in and out of the back. We have slept in both front and back on different trips. So I just want to see what everyone else is doing...

Where do you sleep in your Camper?
Back bunk. The kids get the front bunk as we have two in the bunk and one on the sofa air bed. More privacy in the back bunk plus we are close to the closets. And we have our own tv. We also have the 23IKSS.

Front bunk. Back bunk is for guests or storing stuff.

Front - its King(ish) instead of Back Queen(ish).
And, sleeping over the Tongue means the world is a bit more Stable...

Roo 19 Front bunk. Mostly out of habit because the front was a king in our old pop up. So even though these two bunks are the same size it just seemed right. I felt claustrophobic in the back bunk because of the bathroom wall, but DD loves it because it makes it feel like her own personal "room". The downside is she's right next to the door, but she's a sound sleeper.

Good question. Since we're new at this we're still trying things out. But on this last trip it was a back-in site that backed up to a tree line and a small river (a stream anywhere but Colorado) then open fields behind that. When you unzipped the window on the back bunk you saw the "river" flowing by. (Pic below) So we slept in the back so we could go to sleep to the sound of the flowing water. Very nice.
But, yes, it is a pain getting in and out of those bunks. Even the front is somewhat of a pain for short people like us. The drop to the floor is not insignificant and that edge is sharp. I've banged my shins a couple of times climbing in to both the front and the back.
Does anyone have a good solution for "padding" the wood edge and shelf that you need to climb over to get into bed?

There is no hybrid TT with a king bed.
Most have RV queens, with some older models that had a rear full or double.

For me it constantly changes.
Does one have a water view or more distance from neighbors...I choose that one.
Is my wife blasting her turbo jet engine bunk fan in one of them? I choose the other one.
I am jealous of your TV in the back one. Still not sure why that is only on the 23 model.

DW and I have always slept in the front bunk on our 23IKSS. Our girls love the back bunk and my son takes the couch air bed when he comes along.

The nice part when we had our ROO was We could select front or rear BR where ever the BEST view was! Some C/G had/have NO view so we would stay closed up and sleep on the Table bed!  Youroo!!

I take the table, grandsons ages 7 and 9 on the air bed, and granddaughters ages 12 and 14 on the front bunk. The back is always used for storing bags. Then the mess is out of sight!

DW and I always sleep in the front of our 233s. The rear is a PITA to get out of, the side bunk is ok, just too close to the bathroom for our liking. The front also feels bigger, although it's prob. just the openness of the front giving us a false feeling. The kids love the rear and sides though. They feel like they have their own privacy so it works. When the kids are tenting it outside, we use the side bunk for storage and close the curtains. Just easier to get to.

We sleep on the front bunk because it is easier to set up and get in an out of but the view from the back buck is usually better.

In our 21SS hubby has the front bunk and I have the back, the dogs have the floor. I read into the night and hubby is up and down a lot, the split sleeping works well for us and we are only a few steps apart!

I have used the 1 1/2" 4 foot long foam pipe insulators to pad the shelve overhanging the front bunk. split the foam, cut to length and use short 1/2 or 3/4 inch self tap screws with heads or a washer to hold them in place. SHould help with you shins

FB as well. RB is for the kids. Like having their own room. With their own tv and gadgets. Allows us to entertain without disturbing them in our "ickies". Now, if the door was in the rear, than I would probably switch.

we have a 19' ROO, DW sleeps at the front of the trailer,DD sleeps on the foldout couch and I sleep in the back since I'm 6'4" and have to sleep diagonally across the mattress i need a bunk to myself
