Cannot accurately compare the Lariat without the VIN or full list of options.
If you are using ford vin decoder, he aware they had my old f250 all wrong on there.

Using the window sticker and etis.ford both show build details for newer models.

Isn't an FX4 just an XLT with the FX package? Saw several at the dealer a few weeks back while getting my oil changed, seemed like the base prices were all similar between the FX4 and the XLT except of course the addition of the optional FX package which I seem to remember was around $5K extra for a bunch of goodies. (Rear view cam, trailer brake controller, heated/cooled seats, etc etc)

In the world of Super Duty you are correct. In the F150 series that won't be true until the 2015 comes out. Until now, the FX4 has been a trim level of it's own and been both below and above the Lariat depending on the year you are looking at. Ford decided to align the 150 with the 3/4 + trucks in 2015.

I just finished my maiden voyage towing our 21SS on about an 800 mile weekend trip. I have an F150 with the 5.4 engine and 3.55 gears. I never once cried for more power and the 8-10 mpg was dependent on the head wind. The worst was 8 and the best I was able to get was 9.9, all hand calculated. But the truck handled the job very well.

Got my new tow vehicle

Happy to announce I went with a new, year end 2014 F150 XLT screw previous posts here helped me to decide which way to go...new or used. I went new with the......Ecoboost, 3.73, max tow, off road, and tailgate step. She's a ruby red metallic with adobe interior. I went with cloth as I wanted the front bench seat to allow us to carry a total of 6. Love it
