Designed by monkeys ...perfect. At least our Roo has LEDs instead of incandescent bulbs, and no slide switches. But the article below it about new dishwashers is right on. Our new dishwasher is a POS. Doesn't even dry the dishes. Our 20 year old one that finally died was 10X better than this new "high end" model. Defintely designed by a monkey.

If by "slider switch" the author of that article means a dimmer switch, I've never seen one in any of our trailers. They have all used the same toggle type switch in a pancake style fixture.

I think he's looking at one like this:

Double Lens Dome Light--Ivory - Progressive Dynamics PD772IWV - Light Fixtures - Camping World

He doesn't say old his TT is. These used to be quite prevalent 15 yrs ago, at least on Pups, but they may not be anymore.

I am not sure where his information comes from, but if people are replacing their bulb with ones that draw 50% more current! then the problem is not a design flaw but a misuse of the product.

Notice he did the math with both the "proper" 18W bulb and the higher 27W bulb (1.4 and 2.1 amps). Even with the "proper" bulbs, the switch is being subjected to an overcurrent condition (1.4 amps vs a 0.5 amp rating).
