Winterize now?

I was hoping for another weekend trip or two before doing this. This is our first TT so with the popup we never had the worries. My question is they are calling for 30 degrees tonight then up into the mid 50's during the day. The rest of the week looks like highs in the 60's and lows in the high 30's and 40's so should I be worried about one random cold night? I'm near Charlotte and Concord NC if any you locals got advice.

Your probably safe for that one night, but to make sure empty your hot water tank and open the low point drains and blow out lines with air compressor to play safe only take 5 min to do this. I'm on the Canadian border in Ny just had our first frost and in the mountains here got snow last night.

I wouldn't worry about the water heater. It's a large volume and it's already insulated. One cool night won't hurt it. (You could even turn it on, if you wanted). I would only worry about the lines. Or put a small heater in it if you have 110v available.

I have the same forecast, I'm headed out now to drop my low points and water heater. You could also turn on your heater set to 50* and that should do it for one night.

I believe SKnight means to turn on your furnace or other source of TT heat, not your water "heater", which would be a bad idea if you just drained it.

Good point, yes, furnace or the ceramic fireplace if you have one.

Also, my water filter is out in the water control panel, I took the housing off and dumped it out as that doesn't drain when you drop the low points.
