Question Winterizing 23SS - antifreeze inlet

I know, it's still summer, why am I talking about winterizing.

I had the dealer winterize mine last year, but based on some great information in this forum I'm going to winterize it myself this year.

The only part I'm unclear on is the antifreeze inlet on the side of the trailer, above the city water inlet. I'm okay with the WH and by-pass as well as low point drains, just not clear on antifreeze inlet

I assume that I hook up a hose to the antifreeze inlet and put the other end into a jug of antifreeze - my questions is: does the pump pick up the suction of the antifreeze or does the pump have to be primed?

Thanks.
