Winterizing

2013 shamrock 21ss. As silly as this sounds, I've never winterized my unit, I've always had the dealer do it and figured I'd do it myself this year. My unit has an outside connection labeled anti freeze intake right under the fresh water intake.
I would appreciate a link to a video specific to this unit or very detailed instructions on how to do it, pretty sure I have it figured but hoping other owners could tell me please? I'd much appreciate it.

Mike..there are all kinds of you tube videos showing the winterizing procedure. Wont likely be specific to your unit, but vast majority of units are pretty similar as to the nature of how its done. It's a great place to start and if you have any questions just come back and ask away.

See if this helps:

Once you do it once, you'll laugh at yourself for not doing it sooner and then you'll get mad at the price that dealers charge for this!

Or... You can skip the pink anti-freeze route and use compressed air to blow out your lines. It takes no more than a literal few minutes to winterize my camper, and if I get a chance to use it during an unseasonable warm spell, I know I can have it winterized again in a flash, for pretty much zero dollars.

Here's a link to my procedure. I have used it for years in both my class A and hybrid. Never froze a line yet.

Thanks guys. We're pretty experienced with travel trailers, not newbies by any stretch. But winterizing is just something I've not done yet. Got it figured though.

One comment on Cowracers process: He said he added pink stuff to the toilet, but I think he forgot to mention adding it to the kitchen sink drain, bathroom sink drain, or shower drain. Make sure you do that, as the water in the P-traps will freeze if no pink stuff.

Either that or blow out the drains, too.
