Winterizing

Getting ready to winterize this weekend, should I just blow the lines out with a compressor or do both blow them out the antifreeze?
Also should I place large patio blocks under the tires as my yard tends to get soggy early spring?

Many thoughts on this---I blow out then use the pink stuff. I blow out to keep the pink RV antifreeze from getting mixed. Antifreeze cheap compared to repairing a frozen line.

This is the first year I have only used air to blow out the lines and used pink stuff for p traps and the toilet. I'm not worried at all. It was actually am easy process. I made an adapter to fit the city water connection with a valve and set my compressor to 30 psi

I prefer pink. As for tires, if you think they will sink, blocks or boards will help. One year my first pop up sank to the axle due to wet spring and was a pain to pullout

Ok, so I emptied the water heater. Is that the only valve I close? First time winterizing this camper. Took it in last year. The old trailer I just poured the pink stuff down all the drains and toilet. What about that outdoor shower? Thanks for the help.

Close the valves on both the hot and cold lines attached to the heater tank. Open the valve between the hot and cold lines.

Flip the valve next to the water pump to allow the anti-freeze to be sucked in via the port on the side of the camper.

Submerge a hose in a gallon of pink stuff, attach it to the port.

Turn on water pump.

Open all faucets, hot and cold, including outdoor and indoor showers, keep open until pink stuff fully flows. Fill and flush toilet several times, letting pink stuff run free.

Make sure you do not run out of pink stuff while doing this.

With another gallon of pink pour it down the drains to ensure no water left in P-traps.

Drain fresh water tank. Seems fresh water still remains in tank even after a full drain, so you may want to pour a couple gallons of pink in there, too, just be aware that it will take a lot of flushing in the spring.

Thank you so much for all the information. This will be my project on the weekend. Always hate to close up the camper. Winter is so long in Wisconsin.....

Should we just leave water and antifreeze mixture in the holding tanks?
