Extra fuses and cotter pins. At Lowes the cotter pins are about 70 cents each.

I have a hitch lock on my utility trailer. I also use the pin lock with it. Similar to the one pictured inm this link. I bought the kit at Walmart I believe. I just feel safer where I leave it parked and noone has stole it in 6 years.

I have been RVing for years other than holding the castle nuts in place on the bearings what are you using cotter pins for?? Just asking thought I may be missing something. I learn something new all the time.

Ohh! That would be me. The first day that I went to the hardware store looking for some backup "cotter pins" left me dazed and confused when they looked nothing like what I had in my hands! In fact, you just taught me that the others are called "R Pins" -- I typically just went looking for what looked like I had!

And yes, some extra "R Pins" are good. I was towing my pop-up the first year. We stopped for lunch. When I did my walk around after lunch, I saw that we were MISSING the R Pin for the coupler/ball latch. I was pretty shocked. Fortunately, our lunch stop was right next to a hardware store! I picked up a replacement and a couple of spares!

I'd also pick up:
- something to tie down the awning. I use a couple of ratcheting tie downs with a bright colored straps so you can see them better at night and a screw type peg.
- RV-specific toilet paper
- water heater rinsing wand

For the trailer coupler I use something like this to lock the coupler and to hold up the electrical connection cable and the breakaway switch wire.

I'm like the others here who use 2x12s for under the low side wheels. I have one long enough to sit the 2 wheels on and a 2nd, 2 to 3 feet longer, to go under the first and ramp the wheels up onto the shorter one if I need the extra height.

I also have a couple stacks of cut up 2x12s screwed together for use under the stabilizers. I need them anyway to level the Roo in my driveway so they come camping with us just in case they're needed. I also have one bag of Lynx Levelers. I haven't needed more than that so far.

Believe it or not, I have camped in RV campgrounds that only had 50A/20A power and no 30A. (They conveniently sold 50A to 30A adapters in their camp store.)

So true. I just got used to calling them cotter pins. If you do a search on cotter pins in MSN (Bing) it will also bring up pictures of R pins too.
