On our first trip out this year, the running lites don’t work. Turn signals and brake lights work. So, I guess I will get a battery charger and try applying power to turn on the running lights. First I will clean the contacts in case that is a factor. If the lites don’t work, what would be a good troubleshooting process?

The new electronic fixed height TV antenna is of limited utility. It is inferior to the old crank up antenna with batwing. What can one replace it with? The antenna amplifier LED lite is on, so the amplifier should not be an issue.

The radio is mounted near the ceiling. One cannot read the information on the unit because the readout is so dim. It is also not Blu Ray capable. When will FR realize Blu Ray is here to stay?

Running lights: Two things to try 1) see if the lights work at the trailer side by using a blade fuse to jump the running lights pin and the 12v pin on the trailer end of the 7way connector. Pic attached Click image for larger version

ID:	205541. If they light up then. It is your tow vehicle or the connector pin may be dirty/corroded on either truck side or trailer side.

If they don’t light up then 2) check the wire in the junction box (maybe behind propane tanks mounted on the frame) that connects the opposite end of the 7 way plug to the trailer. I had a wire nut come off once in that junction box and my lights did not work.

Thank you for the good input. I got a wire brush and cleaned off the contacts on the caller plug and the issue resolved itself. I will save your diagram for future reference since it would help with diagnostic efforts. Thank you for being helpful.
