We're headed in June and I'm planning on requesting the 100-loop. It's gonna be fun squeezing in!

You were in 200 last time, right? Why 100 over 200?
I have been looking at several in the 200 and thinking we can fit in there with enough space to be comfy. I know it wont happen for the next trip since the fort is booked, but maybe the one after that.

Just being that little bit closer to the marina. I've been looking at the Google Earth files and have figured out a few sites that seem to work for us. I'll phrase my request for why and where. I figure we'll be fine for 100, 200, or even the one end of 700 should work to put us close to what we want.

I though it might be due to location...just wanted to make sure there wasn't something off in the 200 loop.
Did you get the KMZ file from FF.net for google earf that has all the loop info? If not let me know, I have it.

Yep. That's exactly what I've been using.

We are in 112 and I can literally walk to the back of my camp and see the settlement. I am a 3 minute walk from the water.

When we come back we are going to try and get some other that splits the distance from the middle to the back of the campground.

I don't know if this is already common knowledge but I found an app for iPhone made by fort fiends. It shows a pic and measurements of every campsite at FW!

Wanted to mention that loops are sorted by the type of campsite you want to reserve:

Tent-pop-up campsite - includes water and electricity. For use with tents, pop-up vans or campers, motorhomes can not be accommodated on this type of site. Tent/pop-up sites are located in loops 1500 and 2000. Pets are not allowed.

Bedding options:
1 Pop-up or van camper-type vehicle plus one tent, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests.
2 tents, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests

Campsite includes:
charcoal bbq grill and picnic table, nearby comfort station with laundry facilities, private showers, ice machines, restrooms, and pay phones

Full hook-up campsite - level paved pad campsites including power, water, and sewer. For use with motorhome, travel trailer, 5th wheel, van camper, pop-up type vehicle. Sites are located in loops 1600-1900. Pet friendly sites are available (charges and restrictions apply)
Bedding options:
1 RV plus one tent, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests
2 tents, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests

Campsites include:
charcoal bbq grill and picnic table, nearby comfort station with laundry facilities, private showers, ice machines, restrooms, and pay phones

Preferred campsite - level paved pad campsites including power, water, sewer, cable, and high speed internet modem (internet at an additional charge). Preferred campsites can accommodate the following: motorhome, travel trailer, 5th wheel, van/camper, or pop up type vehicle, equipment up to 10'x60'. Located in loops 100-300. Pet friendly sites available (charges and restrictions apply)
Bedding options:
1 RV plus one tent, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests
2 tents, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests

Campsites include:
charcoal bbq grill and picnic table, nearby comfort station with laundry facilities, private showers, ice machines, restrooms, and pay phones

Premium campsite - larger level paved pad campsites in desirable locations including power, water, sewer, cable, and high speed internet modem (internet at an additional charge). Premium campsites can accommodate the following: big rigs, motorhome, travel trailer, 5th wheel, van/camper or pop-up type vehicle. Located in loops 400-1400. Pet friendly sites available (charges and restrictions apply)
Bedding options:
1 RV plus one tent, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests
2 tents, sleeps a maximum of 10 Guests

I just wanted to mention this for Fort Wilderness "newbies", don't assume that if you reserve a full hook-up site and think you will get in loop 100 - 300 (close to the lake). There are considerable differences in the loops both in the camping pad and the size of the site (distance from neighbors).

I was in the 900 loop across the driveway from the bus stop. I loved it and I'll request that if I go back.
