3 Trailers in 2 Years, I hope we are done!

So my wife and I as a little project redid this vintage trailer that we picked up for a song. We spent a month working on it night and day painting and fixing it up.

We wanted to make sure we liked camping and the whole trailer lifestyle, which we did so we ended up flipping it for 3 times what we had into it and put that into our next trailer

So with our proceeds we ended up buying this hybrid for a song and a dance on Christmas Eve. This was a great trailer, I really really liked it. During this time we ended up having our first Daughter. She also loved using this trailer as she had her own bed and she liked camping too.

Surprise surprise we are pregnant again and my wife says to me that our hybrid is too small for a family of 4 and I am not one to argue about getting a new trailer.

So we ended up buying our dream trailer that hopefully we will keep longer than 6 months and will help our family make many memories for years to come.

Our 2015 Wildwood Heritage Glen is perfect for us, but it is a big jump from a 19ft Hybrid to a 35ft 2 slide bunkhouse trailer. All I have to say is 3 trailers in 2 years sure happened quick, but when I look back on the circumstances to how we ended up where we are at, it makes sense to me. Kind of....LOL

How wonderful that you had three good trailers to fit your changing needs. The new one is a beauty!

We did two TT's in four years. Loved our 14ft, but a tree jumped out in front of it, so we upgraded to an 18ft with bunks for grandkids. Hated to see the 14ft go, but it worked out well.

We did 5 in 8 years. Allegro MH to Salem Lite, to R-Pod, to Flagstaff Micro Lite, to Windjammer. Think we're done, but I've heard it said you never buy your last RV.

We did 2 in 3 years, debating another to make it 3 in 5 yrs. we also started with an 04 armada bought new that we traded in 2011 for an 09 f250 PSD to pull the tt. The f250 was traded for a new 14 3500 Duramax last year to pull the fiver.

Yeah it's so funny how that works. All of the sudden we needed a new truck. This trailer is half tone towable, thank goodness! Because I still don't have my head around having to drive a 2500 or bigger everyday to work, just to pull a bigger trailer.

It's like the old saying, "That a boat is never big enough" you can apply that to trailers to. I liked the OP'S first trailer, looks like my Father in laws. He just turned 90 and still camping and riding dirt bikes. He bought a new 3/4 ton van he carries the bike in when he go's camping, He loves to boondock. Have to hand it to him quite a guy lives in Santa Maria California.

We were not as bad.....lol

We went from a pup tent, first kid, to a cabin style tent. Kid 2 got us into a tent trailer, all within 5 years. Kept that until the kids grew up and out of the house, we bought the Fiver. Had the tent trailer for 27 years. Toured most of the country! Let the adventures begin! Have fun in your new adventures! Make memories!

We have gone through 4 trailers in 3 years.

1. After we got it we realized it was junk and way to small. Only had it a couple of months.
2. Loved the trailer but had a gate post at a ranch run out in front of me and rip a hole down one side of the trailer. Decided to sell it due to the needed repair.
3. Bought a little smaller trailer and hated the smaller part.
4. Just bought a 5th wheel a few months ago and love it. Plan on keeping this for years to come.

WOW! I thought we were the only ones. 2 trailers & 2 Motorhomes in 4 years.

Bought a new TT in 2012 sitting on our seasonal site. In 2013 bought a hybrid for get aways.

Traded the hybrid in on a new Class C in 2014 (Sunseeker) and just traded the C in on a new Class A (Georgetown) to gear up for retirement.

We are done. Of course we said that before.

Haha, I wish I could still use the jeep for this new trailer.

I am pretty sure that if I tried to put the weight of the trailer hitch on the rear end of the jeep it would bend that unibody frame in half.
