50 amp

What happens if you use an adaptor and plug a 30 amp into a 50 amp outlet to check things out

If you use one like this then you get 30 amps of power....

Agree with Penny--you get 30 amp service. I do it all the time!!

I use that very adapter to (Check/Use) the 50A side if the 30A side is Worn/Loose at the Pedestal! Youroo!!

It's good to have the ability to plug 30 amp into the 50. I have been on sites with one box to share. If you have 50 and step down to 30, just cannot run the 2 A/Cs or you might damage your system.
