oldtool2, of course you can do as you please, it's your trailer and your generator. I was just trying to alert you that you may have to replace the generator you may leave on the side of the road. Have fun, but be prepared.

That is not true, it is an1/8 inch I beam. That is .125 inch. If your frame is that thin it is no wonder it tore that way.

I understand and I appreciate it.

I think I can support it well enough so as not to have a problem. I hope I am not wrong but anything is possible.

Had a welder with15 years experience weld two 3/4 inch keepers on a bearing pedestal for me one day. I told him he had the heat too hot, he told me to shut up. When he was done I hit both with a ballpeen hammer and both flew 60 feet to the floor. I threw him off the job and got another welder. You never know. Do know he never did another job for me!

The Wildcat flip down cargo/bike tray/rack is boltedto the frame and rated for 250#. I carry the Champion 3100 Inverter (85#) back there with exhaust pointed away. I can run 1 of the A/C at a time.
