15k would be great.
Is your camper currently ducted?
If not then a ducted won't work for you without a lot of work.

I have one 13.5 k in the humid hot Midwest on a 34' 5th wheel and I think it does the job and no more.
I am ducted.

Shade always helps!

Lol till they quit!
Is it a 13.5 k?
You could up to a 15k ducted.

A good local roof top a/c man might help you decide if yours is working properly. Could be something simple.

If it's physically working but not blowing cold air, it may just need recharging. It's not too expensive to recharge.

Suggest taking the current unit specs to your favorite supplier and compare footprint, duct sizes, thermostat wiring etc to newer units. Could be Dometic, Coleman or others. If you you can match the dimensions and still increase capacity great. If new thermo wiring is 4 wire and you have 3, or power supply requires the next size, sure increases the install activity/costs.

Another suggestion...

Take a temperature on the air blowing out right at the A/C unit outlet (quick cool). I believe that you're looking for a temperature around 65 F.
That would be good info when talking to a A/C tech.

Also might want to check the fins on top to make sure they are clean and that the filter is clean. Neighbor had one that was 18yr old and had never cleaned it. Once they took care of the fins (lots of muddaubbers) and cleaned the filter it worked great
