A little annoying
I just got my license plate, but now I have to drive to the hardware store to buy screws, to attach it. Would it be so hard to have them on the trailer? I got a Rockwood 2104. Very nice good quality unit.

When I picked up my 2604SS in Elkhart from RVDirect they installed my Texas plate. Good people.

When you pick up your trailer, there should be either a temp tag on or, in case of a trade in, your old tag, on for you. In either case, something should have been on there when you took delivery and it is the dealer's responsibility.

My dealer put the temp tag on with cable ties. When the permanent plate came, he offered to have me bring my TT in and he'd install it, but I just had him mail it to me. I had to go get screws to put it on. But, that was a lot less hassle than hooking up and pulling the TT over there.

The dealer put my temporary cardboard plates on my trailer and off I went in the rain and wind. After traveling about 85 miles to home, all I had left was 2 tiny cardboard donuts around the screws......and those plates were supposed to last 30 days.
The dealer graciously mailed me another plate until I could pick up metal 1s from the DMV.

I guess, I over reacted. I assumed that the plate holder on the trailer should have the screws in it. To be fair to the dealer: He mailed me the plates. When I picked up the trailer i had a temp license in the window. I am sure the dealer would have put the plate on if I brought the trailer in. Still, two little screws could have saved me a trip to the hardware store. I think the manufacturer should put them on the plate holder, like they do on cars. Its the little things that get your dander up.... Trailer: $15,500, screws not included?

My 2106 had the plates installed (I had dropped my plates off beforehand) when I picked it up.
