It's also good to print out and hand to even a licensed electrician, as not all realize the RV's are wired for 120 volts. We have had many stories on these forums of even the pro's mis-wiring the outlets.

I think a 20amp plug would be sufficient to power the A/C. I want to say that the dedicated breaker in the pop up for the A/C is a 20amp breaker. So although I am using a 30amp plug to plug in and power the entire system, only 20amps is going to the A/C.

20 amps will easily handle the AC. I like having 30 so I can get the frig
and a few other items working before I head out on a trip.

Just my 2 pennys. even if your comfortable doing the work and installing all the hardware it wouldn't hurt to have an electrician stop by and double check. Electricity is controlled heat and energy, just like fire it can be your friend...or your worst nightmare.

Agreed most all towns and cities require inspection after alts or repairs to electrical systems residential or commercial. It's code required as well as insurance rule.
