Best type RV for a Ford 150 SuperCrew Limited with 5 1/2 ft bed

With a Ford 150 SuperCrew Limited with 5 1/2 ft bed is a 5th wheel or travel trailer better ?

look at payload for that truck. That's going to be the biggest factor. Bet it's pretty low

Limited is similar trim to the King Ranch I owned. Payload likely 1600 to 1700 lbs.

Yep, check the payload capacity amount and post it. It's on the driver door sticker.
You also need to post way more info on truck specs.
Year, engine, factory tow package or not, rear end ratio.
If it's Ecoboost, does it have Max Tow package or HD Payload package.

Sounds like he is not looking for absolute weight but tradeoffs between 5th wheel and bumper tow?

Has a short bed on it so he may have heard 5th wheel does not work?

Interesting question posed by someone with cardinal and a dually In their signature. That said, more info is needed about both the capabilities of the truck and the weights of trailers being considered to give a fair answer.

Following this discussion...

Was at an RV show this weekend, saw a couple of light-weight and ultra-light 5'ers that are well within my truck's capabilities; and have me re-thinking my "no 5th wheels on a half-ton" stance.

I'd be very interest in some real-world feedback...

Realistically, if I put more than a 800lb. pin weight on my truck along with bikes, wife, and dog, then I am close to my GVWR, Not many 5th wheels out there with a 800 pin weight.
