I was able to reach with my hand but OC's idea is good. Just be aware that there might be babies that come out with the nest. It ain't purty.......

Here's what I did to prevent the bird problem. Won't do much for wasps though.

I used clips and put a screen over the hole to keep the birds out. Nice use of one of Mi plates.. careful there might be a Mi tax for that app.
