Any idea how to get broken handles off dump valves? Mine broke last fall while winterizing. Only 1 side of the handle, not both. Still operable, but would like to get fixed before the other half breaks.
The handles just screw off. You can purchase metal handles to replace the plastic handles now on the trailer. I replaced all three on my unit last year.

Sweet. Thanks caper. I did not want to have to replace entire valve just to get some plastic handles. Will try etrailer or local dealer.

I would replace the plastic with metal handles.

maybe

I have never seen a set up like this, my guess on the first valve on the black water is do to the long-ish pipe run. It probably prevents solids from building up and plugging the pipe run. As for the second valve, on the same line, it is part of a standard set up and probably easer to install an extra than create something new.
Any chance you bought this camper used and the former owner installed the extra valve?
