Black tank issue

Have tried to dump our black tank, handle pulls out, but no magic whoosh of water. It won't be TP as we dispose of it in a waste basket and I don't allow any number 2 in the trailer. Grey water is dumping fine. Any words of wisdom on my issue?

If it is not full, fill it up with water and give it another pull. Otherwise, I think you will have to give it an enema to see if the valve is opening...

The handle shaft might be broken where it attaches to the valve gate. Like the previous reply said, go backwards through the drain to make sure it's opening.
Disposable gloves are HIGHLY recommended .

more then likely, like other have said the handle has come off the gate. you can unhook your sewer line and if close enough see if the gate is open, if not you will have a nasty job on your hands of taking the black valve off for repair. My question is why not use the black tank as it was designed?

I have seen people leave there camper and walk to the campground bathroom, not me. When I'm on the road and I stop at a rest area I never use the rest area bathroom, that's what my bathroom is for

I know folks that do not use their toilets. I just shake my head in disbelief.

I paid good money for a camper with a toilet... I'm going to use it.

Do these folks use an outhouse at their home, or do they use the indoor toilet?

There are pretty basic steps to take to ensure a properly functioning toilet and black tank.

Throwing TP in the trash can is over the top!
