Would like some input on brake controllers. My current brake controller is about 10 years old and is starting to give me trouble so I'm looking into getting a new one. I would like to know what brand and model people are using and the pros and cons.

+1
When we purchased our Shamrock last summer, the dealer included a Voyager brake controller. It worked, but it was a real pain and seemed to require constant adjusting. This spring, I replaced it with a Prodigy P3 controller and the difference is like night and day. The new P3 works wonderfully and since the initial setup, I have not had to mess with it again. I highly recommend it.

If your on a budget the next model down in the line isnt bad. The primus has auto level and other benefits just is not back feed protected and 5 year instead of lifetime warranty. I got a tutorial on brake controllers link on the bottom the main page of the " good old rvs" website. Gives the features of both timer and inertia controllers. You might find that a good read.
