Canoe Carrier

Quote:
Another thing for us, is where you do carry a canoe if you have a 5th wheeler?? Now it rides over the bed, but that ain't possible with a 5th wheeler.
Apparently there are racks for carrying canoes. I spoke to the owner of this rig. He had seen a couple of designs on the 'net. Combined the features & fabbed his own. My brother has built 1 as well. In hindsight I should've taken a couple of pics that showed the whole front assembly. Rear foam blocks @ the rear of the cab roof support the canoe, w/ tiedowns down to the box.

Great idea. This is a good possibility if we ever decide to go with a 5th wheeler.

What do you use as the rear rack ??

I think I am the person you are quoting.

Lightbulb

There are foam kits similiar to this:

Foam Kayak Carrier Roof Mounts | Canadian Tire

Each block has a slot to snap onto the gunwhale of the canoe.
